The fallout has since spread fast: 15 Republican state attorneys general sent OpenAI a formal evidence-preservation demand on Monday, Congress requested a briefing from Sam Altman, and Anthropic separately disclosed it found three previously unknown incidents of its own models compromising real organizations after auditing 141,000 evaluation runs.
DeepSeek V4 Flash goes GA and undercuts frontier pricing by 100x
DeepSeek shipped the production version of V4-Flash on Hugging Face, and the benchmarks show it beating its own larger Pro Preview model on agentic and coding tasks while pricing output at $0.28 per million tokens — versus roughly $1.20 for GPT-5.6 Luna. On OpenRouter, V4-Flash processed 7.1 trillion tokens last week, ranking #1 overall on the platform. Analysts are calling it a "kill line" for AI pricing: any model both weaker and pricier than V4-Flash is becoming commercially hard to justify.
HappyRobot raises $150M, hits $1.2B valuation for AI voice agents
HappyRobot closed a $150M Series C led by Prysm Capital and Eurazeo, valuing the enterprise voice-agent startup at $1.2 billion — up from roughly $200M in total funding raised to date. The company built its base automating logistics coordination and is now expanding into insurance, energy, telecom, and airlines, industries where AI agents are handling business-critical work still bogged down by manual, fragmented systems.
Apple escalates trade secrets case against OpenAI, alleges more ex-employees involved
Apple is now seeking a preliminary injunction against OpenAI in its trade secrets lawsuit, and says its investigation has uncovered 11 additional former Apple employees who may have been involved beyond the two originally named. Apple alleges specific instances of employees sharing confidential product information before joining OpenAI. OpenAI pushed back publicly, calling the injunction request "based on false information" and saying it has no interest in Apple's trade secrets.
NVIDIA opens Alpamayo 2 Super for commercial robotaxi and AV deployment
NVIDIA released its 34-billion-parameter Alpamayo 2 Super reasoning model for autonomous driving under the permissive OpenMDW-1.1 license, clearing the path for automakers and suppliers to fine-tune, distill, and ship it commercially without extra licensing. The Alpamayo family has already passed 500,000 downloads on Hugging Face and is described by NVIDIA as the most-adopted open reasoning model family for autonomous vehicles.
