China's Z.ai just shipped a model aggressive enough to find a live vulnerability in Cursor, and Anthropic quietly confirmed it already has something more capable than Claude Mythos 5 running internally. Add in a fresh round of price cuts, a possible expansion of White House AI safety reviews to open models, and a $5B Databricks raise, and it's clear the frontier is moving on every front — models, money, and policy — at once.
