Thursday's AI news was defined by two converging forces: the agentic era arriving inside tools that millions of creators already use, and another wave of capital flooding the infrastructure beneath it. Adobe brought autonomous AI agents into Premiere, Photoshop, and Illustrator. Vercel released an open-source framework purpose-built for shipping agents to production. And the funding story stayed loud — General Intuition, Dream, and Convey all closed or announced major rounds on the same day.

China's Zhipu AI Releases GLM-5.2 as Top Open-Source LLM

Z.ai (formerly Zhipu AI) released GLM-5.2 under an MIT license with no usage restrictions or regional locks. Independent benchmarks from Artificial Analysis rank it as the most capable openly available language model currently on the market — ahead of DeepSeek V4 Pro, Kimi K2.6, and outperforming some Google Gemini models on agentic tasks.
